Face the Fax Elevate to Legendary Heights

This shot features the guitar player of Face the Fax demonstrating a guitar jump technique where he tucks his knees as much as possible to bring himself 4 feet off of the ground.

Double guitar jump where both Face The Fax guitar players are levitating at soaring heights.  A jump like this can usually only occur if there is a noticeable break or tempo change in the song, or if the guitarists are continuously jumping like kangaroos in a rage.  The guitar player on the left is using a straight-leg method, while the one on the right is contrasting this with a cross-leg style.

Sumeet Barai and Jeff Mendoza Guitar Jumping in Unison at a Punk Rock Club Show on UT Campus

The Mofobees were a legendary band that was around between 2002-2003 and played some shows in Austin, TX and Corpus Christi, TX at clubs like Beerland, The Backroom, Flamingo Cantina, and Equal Eyes as well as many parties and UT Punk Rock Club events. The Mofobees were a fast melodic punk rock band that played a melodic hardcore / skate punk style of punk rock. Some of the songs they played were greats from Sumeet and Domenic's old Band Mr. F Loves You. He is not in this picture, but the band later added Michael Nelson on Guitar. Click here to watch full videos from this show.

Jeff Mendoza Pulling Lots of Air With His Bass Guitar on UT campus

These pictures are from a Punk Rock Club event on UT campus. The Punk Rock Club at UT was an official organization of the University of Texas at Austin started by Sumeet Barai. It was run by many friends and other student volunteers who helped put on shows such as this one and many others. The Punk Rock Club was known for it's annual Punkfest concert that featured 7 or 8 Austin punk rock bands. Some of the acts that played on Campus for such UT events include: The Blacklung Patriots, Same Day Service, Ill Spent Youth, Protocol 13, Manikin, Lunchbox Ave, Slum City, Dempsey, Interstate 808, The Accidents, Black Star Brigade, The Mofobees, and 28 Cent Solution.

Sumeet Barai Pulling Many Olympic Level High Jumps at a UT campus show

During his days with the MoFoBees, Barai was known for spending as much time jumping in the air as he did with his feet on the stage. While some considered this to be pure lunacy or insanity, Barai had perfected an art form and the air was his medium as he flew through it. His legendary guitar acrobatics were comparable to that of Pete Townshend among other greats.
